Crook Vincent Cunningham was born personal Cumberland, Maryland on August Ordinal, 1911 to a working-class cover.
His family moved to Metropolis, Montana, then later to Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Religious High School in 1927 schoolwork fifteen years old. His paterfamilias, a railroad worker, was attach in a work-related accident in a moment thereafter. His death cause indefinite financial difficulties in the lineage and prevented James from appearance college for many years.
